Today, December 19 we will be releasing the first bottles of Orchard & Vine in our tasting room.
Orchard & Vine is a farmhouse ale fermented in oak on Connecticut grown Chardonnay grapes and second use white peaches. The oak harvested for making the barrel, orchard and vineyard are all sourced from the same property. The base beer is a modest wort made with Thrall Family Malt barley, and a small addition of freshly picked hops. This beer has been allowed to rest for quite some time to achieve maximum dryness carrying peach and grape undertones reminiscent of a white wine.
