Family Vines is a series of beers made with grapes from the Thrall Family Vineyard. Each release incorporates different varietals as well as fermentation and aging methods. This first release comes from the 2019 harvest of Grüner Veltliner, a favorite varietal of many at the brewery. Grape clusters were lightly crushed and added to a single barrel of spontaneously fermented beer and allowed to age, skin contact and all for just over six months. Bottled in April 2020 and not released until December 2021, it showcases a bright acidity and spontaneous character with elements of stone fruit and minerality we are extremely excited about.
