In Medias Res, the storyteller’s technique of beginning in the middle, is a culmination of knowledge and inspiration with our friends at Casa Agria. This farmhouse ale was brewed with 50% wheat and a touch of honey malt for a fuller body and a hint of sweetness. Fermented with native yeasts from our respective homes in hand selected and freshly emptied red wine barrels, this beer is indicative of who we are and where we are wont to go. Exposition begins at the first sip.
This portion of the batch was matured on Chardonnay grapes and must from Maywood Estate Vineyards (Bridgewater, CT) and refermented in the bottle with honey from Maywood Garden’s apiary.
