Event poster for Distro Details: Bird Post & Public

Bird Post

In the early morning and evenings, the hop yard becomes a virtual lounge for many of the species of birds that spend time around our farm. There was no better sight to name our first 100% Connecticut pale ale after.

Bird Post is made with a significant charge of freshly harvested and dried whole cone hops from Smokedown Farm (Sharon, CT) in the kettle and dry hopped with a selection of the finest pellets from this year’s crop. Our goal is to create a beer that has unadulterated layers of hop character exposing the nuance of what our local growers have to offer. Ripe with citrus, tea, and spice.

Batch 14 - First of 2023 Crop
"Fresh Dried" hops are the first cones out of the oast or kiln used to dry them from the field. These hops offer a unique freshness and character which we find makes a very special batch of Bird Post. This year's Bird Post will feature Cascade, and Chinook with the addition of Connecticut grown Copper.
