Job Description:
The primary responsibility is to produce wort on average four days a week and maintain the brewhouse. Organizing grain the day before each turn, executing each brew day from mash to knockout, and weekly CIP of the brewhouse are core responsibilities. You’ll work with our Head Brewer and small team on associated production tasks over the course of the week as well.

Kent Falls Brewing Company is Connecticut’s first farm brewery, based in Northwest Connecticut. We operate a small production facility, tasting room, and farm. All of our beers, regardless of style are made with 100% locally grown and malted grains and we proudly self-distribute our beer throughout the State of Connecticut.

Salary and Benefits
Brewer is a full time job (40 hours per week with overtime)
Hourly rate of $21-23 per hour based on experience.
Shifts may vary in hours depending on the day/week.

Responsibilities:
Wort production
Knockout transfer
Inventory management
Brewhouse CIP
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area.
Ability to trouble shoot and resolve equipment issues.
Cooperative production tasks
Record keeping – brew logs, inventory receipts and depletions

Experience, Skills, and Character:

1-3 years experience in a production brewery
Knowledge and understanding of Ekos management software
Strong communication skills
Familiarity and ability to follow SOPs
Passion for brewing and interest in a connection to agriculture
