Split Level
Last year we debuted a new Kolsch called Fresh Level made with freshly picked cones from Sharon, CT. This year we have upped our fresh hop level with a brand new west coast inspired pale ale we’re calling Split Level, inspired by West Coast pale ales and fresh hop beers like Celebration.
A few weeks back Rob and Melanie headed to the Finger Lakes for over 100 pounds of Cascade hops grown by Skaneateles Hop Farm in Moravia, NY. Those cones, picked that morning and in the brewhouse less than 24 hours later create the bright, raw, citrus and piney character only unprocessed whole leaf hops can.
A small dry hop with Lupulin Vista pellets (also grown in NY) for stability and Split Level is complete. This is a beer we have been wanting to make for along time, and are extremely excited to finally have in our hands.
Cans will be available at the Westport Farmers Market throughout September.
Petite pours will begin at the brewery on Thursday.
