UPDATE:  In order not to confuse you, the consumer into mistaking this for an award winning Bohemian Pilsner, we have been asked by another brewery to no longer use this name in commerce.  Feel free to chime in and choose our new name:

A) Lime Zest Gose – this way we can avoid any and all confusion

B) Dusche Bier – you know… to celebrate the rich history of the German Lime Zest Gose

We talk a lot about a sense of place in our beer.  Using Connecticut grown malted barley, hops from our farm, locally grown fruits and herbs.  This beer too comes from a sense of place, just one thats a bit more tongue in cheek.  Everyone (should) love a good shower beer.  And this is our favorite style for it.

Back in July we were the featured brewery at the 2nd Beers at the Beach Festival in Norwalk, CT and for the small but dedicated crowd that purchased VIP tickets we brewed a one off keg of Shower Beer, a 4.6% abv lime zest gose.  Now, as Fall has officially begun and September draws to a close, we’re doing all we can to keep the summer going.

This beer was no small challenge.  Reconfiguring packaging plans (again), zesting and juicing 400 limes by hand (thank you Jeff) among them.  But we are extremely excited about the end result.  Snappy sourness up front, a super smooth run of fresh lime and a mouthwateringly salty finish that will leave you thirsting for more.

We’ll be selling the bottles (along with Table 2) at the Kent and New Milford Farmer’s Markets this weekend as it hits the shelves across the state.  Look for the “We Grow Beer” sign.  Ta
