Spring is finally here and what better way to celebrate Saison Day (other than as part of an official Allagash celebration)  than to begin releasing the farmhouse ales that we worked so hard on creating and conditioning over winter. Our brewery is setup such that the winter is when we have been able to do much of our barrel work. Over the next few months there are many changes in store which will allow us to produce more of our farmhouse ales. For now, we are beyond excited to have these two finally ready for you to enjoy at our brewery.

Partage de Peche is our hyper local table beer Partage barrel aged on fresh peaches from Maywood Gardens in Bridgewater CT. This version of it has an elegant soft peach sweetness accentuated by hints of oak while in tune with the delicate funk of the base beer.

Senescence is a wild ale brewed with our friends Dmitry and Eva from Baltic Bay Wild Ales in St Petersburg Russia using northeastern grown barley, wheat and Connecticut rye and fermented with our house culture before conditioning on local chardonnay must and late season foraged birch leaves. Dmitry and Eva spent a few days at our farm sharing conversation, food, laughs, insights about brewing and many other things. The beers that come as a result of friendships like these are some of our favorites. Senescence has a bright, mature tartness balanced by tiny tannins and elements of pine nuts and green fruit.

Both of these beers will be available in the tasting room when we open Thursday and Friday 2-7, and Saturday 12-5.
